Our modern look & nimble product update makes us seem like a startup. But we've been helping businesses book their travel for over 30 years, now as part of the Perk Group of travel & spend companies. AmTrav joins Perk is on our mission to remove shadow work — repetitive, time-consuming tasks that distract people from the job they were hired to do — giving people time back to focus on real work, with real impact.

A business that's always been personal
In 1989, co-founders Jeff and Craig met as dorm-mates at the University of Michigan. What started (mostly) as an attempt to get a free spring break trip became their life long passion.

AmTrav has grown and evolved since in 1989, including launching our first 1-800-CHEAP-AIR call center in 1991 to our first CheapAir website in 2001 to starting AmTrav in 2011 and teaming up with Perk in 2024.
