London and Barcelona, 2 March 2022: Perk, the largest global travel management platform, today announces the launch of Green Trip API, its open API-based service for travel management platforms, their customers, and all businesses, giving them the tools to measure their carbon footprint and build strategies that will cost-effectively reduce emissions and aid the transition to net zero. The launch represents a major milestone in Perk’s mission to become the most open business travel platform and cements the company’s leadership position within sustainable travel. After almost two years of working remotely, the need to return to face-to-face meetings is paramount for the sake of fostering creativity and collaboration in teams. At the same time, sustainability has emerged as a top priority, and business leaders are now looking to reduce the impact of their operations on the environment and establish robust sustainability practices. As a result, companies’ need for analytics that quantify the environmental impact of travel and hybrid working has never been greater. In an industry-first, Green Trip API provides direct access to the most comprehensive data and analytics available about a business's carbon footprint across a full spectrum of travel verticals including flights, rail, accommodation and car hire.
