A work trip doesn’t end when you click “book.”
There’s the Lyft to and from the airport. The hotel stay. The two client dinners (and sometimes post-meeting drinks). The receipt someone stuffs into a pocket and remembers weeks later.
It’s all part of the same trip. But at most companies, the systems managing it have never worked that way.
Travel gets booked in one place, and cards live somewhere else. Expenses land in yet another system. Meanwhile, finance teams are left connecting the dots after the fact.
Today we're changing that for our US customers.
Perk Spend is now available in North America, bringing travel and spend together on one intelligent platform.
For us, this launch is about more than adding another product to Perk. It’s about treating travel and spend as what they have always been: one connected experience.
Bringing travel and spend together in one platform
The trip and the transaction were never separate.
Think about what happens when someone travels for work.
Before a work trip, there’s a booking and an approval. During it, there are meals, taxis/rideshares and hotel charges. Afterward come receipts, reimbursements and reconciliation.
Employees experience that as one journey. Finance teams often experience it as five different systems.
That disconnect creates work everywhere. Employees have to remember which card to use and where to submit the receipts. Managers don’t always have the full context. Finance teams end up matching transactions to trips, chasing documentation and fixing problems after the money has been spent.
The tools may technically ‘work.’ The problem is all the work happening behind the work - the extra effort we call shadow work.
Our research with US employees found that one in four companies still has unmanaged spend programs, while nearly a third of employees still submit expenses manually. That is exactly the kind of shadow work we built Perk to remove.
Why we're bringing Perk Spend to the US now
Because our US business is growing quickly, and so is the need for a better way to manage the work around travel.
US customers already spend more than $1 billion a year on travel and events through Perk, and the US now accounts for 30% of our new business globally.
Travel itself continues to grow. Our booking data shows domestic US travel bookings are up 29% year over year, while outbound return flight bookings from the US are up 14%.¹
More travel means more spend moving through a company. If the systems behind it stay fragmented, it also means more admin.
We don’t think growth should require more people chasing receipts, reconciling systems or stitching reports together.
It should require better technology.
That’s why bringing Perk Spend to the US was such a natural next step.
We’ve already seen the appetite for a connected approach in Europe, where up to 40% of new deals are now for our combined Travel and Spend offering. What we’ve learned there is that companies don’t want another standalone system to manage. They want fewer gaps between the tools they use and less manual work holding everything together.
That’s what we’re bringing to the US.
Built for the way US companies manage spend
Perk Spend connects directly with Perk Travel and Events, giving companies one place to book business travel, pay with corporate cards, manage expenses and reimbursements, and see travel and spend across the business.
And we’ve built Perk Spend with the flexibility US companies need. Customers can bring the corporate card program they already use, reimburse employees directly to their bank accounts and, later this year, choose Perk Cards too.
Different ways to pay. One connected experience behind them.
Less work behind the work
There's a bigger idea behind all of this.
For years, business software has asked people to compensate for the gaps between systems. Download this report. Upload it over there. Find the receipt. Match the charge. Work out who traveled where and why.
Individually, those tasks can seem small. Together, they take people away from the work they were actually hired to do.
Perk exists to remove more of that shadow work.
Bringing Travel and Spend together is an important part of that mission because the booking and the transaction were never really separate to begin with.
Now, the technology doesn’t have to treat them that way either.
Perk Spend is now available in North America.
¹Methodology US travel booking figures are Perk's proprietary data: flights, hotels, cars, trains. Covers a 35-week period, year-on-year (Dec 29-Aug 30), 2025 vs 2026. Same customer cohort; Perk employee travel excluded. The data on expense submissions is based on a survey conducted by Censuswide on behalf of Perk, surveying 2,000 U.S. professionals between April 15 and April 28, 2026.
